The most respected football writer in WA.  An outstanding young athlete, Geoff Christian was a state title-holder in the 100 years and 200 yards in 1956.  He was Chief football writer at The West from 1961-1987.  A leading proponent of the game going national.  In 1996 he wrote Soaring, the official history of West Coast’s first 10 years.  Inducted into the AFL Hall of Fame in 2000.
